Vice President of Honda Racing Corporation, Shuhei Nakamoto, hoping disorders experienced by Honda in MotoGP 2010 does not happen again this season.

Repsol Honda rider Dani Pedrosa, the only rider who can prevent Jorge Lorenzo MotoGP world champion 2010. Unfortunately, Pedrosa crashed in free practice MotoGP Japan Motegi Circuit.

As a result Pedrosa should be absent in three series, Japan, Malaysia and Australia. Though the Spanish rider is gaining momentum for the past Lorenzo on top of the standings.

Now Honda has a more competitive team. Besides Pedrosa, a Japanese team that brought Casey Stoner and have two other reliable rider Andrea Dovizioso in the self and Marco Simoncelli.

Nakamoto hope with a competitive team that Honda could again triumphed in the event since the last time MotoGP champion in 2006. Nakamoto expect disruption experienced last season did not happen the 2011 season.

"If Danielle does not have an accident at Motegi, I'm sure we can compete until the final race. Unfortunately it happened at the end of the season, and I am very disappointed," said Nakamoto as reported by motorcyclenews.com, Monday, January 3, 2011.

"The package overall rider and machine, I am pleased to see Honda develops and better. Our team is competitive enough to compete last season and I hope to get better results next season," lid Nakamoto.

Honda have finally released official specs for the all-new VFR1200F, which is possibly the most eagerly-awaited Honda in recent years. The bike is powered by a 1,237cc V4 that produces 172 horsepower at 10,000rpm and 129Nm of torque at 8,750rpm. Kerb weight is 267kg.The VFR1200F has a vacuum-moulded cast aluminium chassis and suspension components include a 43mm cartridge-type fork at the front and Pro-Link monoshock with gas-charged damper at the rear. The bike is fitted with a single-side swingarm and final drive is via shaft rather than chain, making it clear that this is a sports-tourer rather than an all-out sportsbike. However, the VFR's drive mechanism has been specially designed to eliminate the back-and-forth 'pitching' that's sometimes associated with shaft drive.As expected, the new VFR comes with ride-by-wire throttle control and Honda’s C-ABS anti-lock brakes. The bike is fitted with a conventional six-speed gearbox as standard, while a dual clutch automatic transmission is optional. The latter allows the rider to operate the bike in either full automatic mode, or in manual mode, with clutchless gear shifting via finger-operated paddles.The VFR1200F rides on 17-inch aluminium wheels, shod with 120/70 (front) and 190/55 (rear) rubber. Available colours include red, silver and white. The bike will go on sale early next year, though prices are yet to be announced.

Honda claims that this new Mid- Concept will offer the energetic riding sensation of a motorcycle but with the ease and convenience of a scooter. This sector shattering combination of features creates a bike that is both visually dynamic and enjoyable to ride. The latest engine technology along with the advanced Dual Clutch Transmission system will also be seen on the new Mid- Concept; with Honda now looking forward to extend the DCT technology to more range of motorcycles this coming year. The foot-forward position on the Mid- Concept has been adapted to provide comfort for the rider and offer additional protection from weather. The newly designed 17 inch wheels with PRO-LINK rear suspension add to the motorcycle look and enhance high speed stability and maneuverability with the optimum size radial tyres giving a sporty ride. The front fairing air vents coupled with the larger wheels will deliver greater stability when riding at higher speeds.
